1. Unless it is dark roast, it shouldn't even be considered coffee.
2. Grayson has this wonderful new habit of pooping in the tub. It's gotten to the point where I don't even bathe him and Carter together anymore. In the winter, we bathe them every other night, instead of every day, and I would say that Grayson craps in the tub every other bath. Not a big poop - but a turder nonetheless. And, holy hell, is it frustrating. The kid goes two years with no poops in the tub and now it's a ritual. No, no, no.
Now that I got those two things off of my chest, good evening!
We had a lovely Saturday, minus the feces incident.
1. For once, we didn't hibernate in the house like crazy people. Okay, we mostly did, but we did manage to get out, all four of us, to get groceries; this is an accomplishment as of late.
2. I registered for a one week trial at a new yoga studio and booked in for a class with a friend for Wednesday. I'm excited about that. I have no idea if I'll like the new place as much as I liked the other one, but it's really close to my house, so it's worth a shot. And I'm looking forward to going with my girl.
3. Before bed Carter and I played a whole bunch of rounds of Crazy 8's. He's so fun lately. He says funny things like, "I'm terribly bored," or "that's a shame," and cracks me up all the time. He's at that age where he really is starting to feel like a kid. I feel as though we're watching him come into his own person and it's so neat to watch. I love who he is becoming more than I can possibly say.
4. Gray and Carter love The Secret Life of Pets movie. We had it on today and Grayson just started dancing to some of the music and then grabbed my hand and said, "Dance, Mommy." He also pretended to be a bird at the scene where the bird in the movie turns on the fan and flies into the "wind" while watching a TV show and pretending to fly through the mountains. He is so cute and so funny. He's such a little performer. He's still singing about that "jolly, happy, soul": Frosty the Snowman, for those of you who were wondering.
5. Tonight, after we put the kids to bed, I had a really hot bath. One of those baths that's so hot, you start sweating immediately. (Sexy, I know.) You feel amazing after those though. You must sweat out toxins or something, for real, becasue there's no better or cleaner feeling than after a bath like that. I gave myself a mini pedicure, and downloaded an The Girl on the Train so that I can read it before we watch the movie. It felt like the perfect Saturday night.
And now, my Kindle awaits.
