DAY 118 - Thursday, January 19, 2017 - Getting Ready to say Goodbye

I came home from work and it's been non-stop between the kids and getting us packed up to head to Saskatoon to be with family. Jeff's grandmother isn't doing very well and has been moved to palliative care in the hospital. It's been a stressful day, to say the least. Because of this, I'm going to keep this brief to get my bum to bed.

1. My family has been very supportive: asking how Jeff is doing and for updates on his grandma. My mom has made it clear that she and my dad will do whatever they can to help. It just makes me appreciate them and serves as another reminder that they love Jeff just so much. They love him as though he has always been a part of our family and this is a wonderful feeling.

2. Reading my little guys books tonight. That's my thing. That's one of the ways I feel like I'm momming my best. It's a nice, quiet, cuddly time for the three of us and it's one of my favourite things to do. I know I will miss it terribly when they are older.

3. I got the kitchen cleaned, which will hopefully mean that it will stay mostly clean and we will come home to a clean-ish house when we get back from Saskatoon.

And with that, my pillow is calling to me.

Please send love, prayers, energy -- or whatever you believe in -- to Jeff and his family.

Thanks for always reading <3
